Fake science: how to recognize fraudulent behavior and how to act against it
Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, ghost authorship, inappropriate authorship, predatory journals…
Did you know there are so many types of fraudulent behavior and questionable research practice? These are just a few of them. But how can we recognize them, and what can we do once we know? This talk aims to help you answer these questions.
Speaker: Ivana Malovic holds a PhD in medical biology and she is a Senior academic librarian at the Medical library, UiO. Her work interests include Open Science, questionable research practice, literature search techniques and critical appraisal of articles, which she teaches to students and employees at UiO and Oslo University Hospital.
