Representation

UiODoc is your main contact point for raising issues that affect the working life and conditions of PhDs and postdocs at UiO. The executive board can link requests and concerns to the relevant units within the UiO administration - these include the Research Committee, the Forum for Researcher Education, the central management and its support units. If your issue is more appropriately addressed at the faculty level or within your department, we can try to put you in touch with the local administration and/or your temporary staff representative within their respective boards and councils. UiODoc maintains an extensive network of PhD and postdoc representatives across all faculties, who are there to support and represent your interests just like we do. You can read more on how we maintain contact with them on Contact with temporary staff representatives. And you can read more on how we represent UiODoc members to various stakeholders in Representation efforts.

Our contact points within the administration

  1. Meeting with the Rectorate at least every semester
  2. We attend meetings of the Research Committee (approx. each month)
  3. We attend meetings of the Forum for Researcher Education (4x per semester)

Network with Temporary Staff Representatives

Lately, UiODoc established a network for all temporary staff representatives at the different faculties. You can read up on our work with this in the Work with Temporary Staff Representative part.
