PhD and Postdoc Breakfast Club: Open Access

Open Access requirements? What is Plan S, Rights Retention Strategy, or DOAJ? And what does a 'level 1 journal' mean in the Norwegian system? This will be explained during our upcoming PPBC.

This picture displays the UioDoc promotion poster: A purple open lock that looks vaguely similar to the official Open Access logo with the words 'Open Access' inside is placed on an orange background.

Elin H. Frøshaug from the Open Research Team at the University library will talk about how to meet the Open Access requirements from research funders and from UiO. Which tools and resources are available, what to keep in mind, and how to plan for publishing of your work. This will include how to self-archive publications in DUO Research Archive, and how to publish openly through UiO's agreements.

Other keywords we will touch upon are Plan S, Rights Retention Strategy, Journal Checker Tool, DOAJ, Sherpa Romeo, predatory publishing, article versions, author rights, gold green and hybrid OA, the Norwegian level 1 and level 2 journal system.
