In the first talk, Asbjørg Dyveke Johnsen (Senior Research Advisor at the Department of Informatics) and Stina Petersen (Senior advisor at the Department of Sociology and Social Geography) will shed light on funding opportunities for PhDs and Postdocs, respectively, from a technological and a social science perspective.
This will cover:
• RCN funds for researcher projects and mobility.
• EU funding: Starting Grants, Marie Curie Actions.
• Other funding sources (UiO Funds, Erasmus+)
The Research Council of Norway grants young researchers who want to pursue and develop an idea that can become a research project.
In the second talk, Silvia Lizeth Tapia Tarifa (Senior Researcher at the Department of Informatics) will share her journey to the application process for a YRT grant, focusing on how she started the application and how it finally became a funded project. In addition, Speaker will share some insights into the evaluation process and highlight her reflections on what was essential to include in the project while preparing her application.
