An Introduction to EU Grants Relevant to Young Researchers

Just as the deadlines are approaching, we have invited UiO's EU office to give us a talk about EU research grants from a PhD and postdoc point of view.

In this talk by Ann Kristin Sørli Halvorsen and Mette Topnes from the university's EU office, we will be given an introduction to the relevant research grants for young researchers - which grants there are to apply for, and how to do it.

The presentation will cover a short overview of EU's Framework Programme Horizon Europe; funding opportunities for young researchers (what are they, and what does it take?), namely Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and European Research Council (ERC); how to build your CV and career; and how to find and approach calls.

Of course, we will have the opportunity to ask questions to the EU office speakers.

Speakers

Ann Kristin Sørli Halvorsen and Mette Topnes are both senior advisors at the Department of Research and Innovation Administration within the central university administration.
