Temporary academic staff face unique challenges in the workplace. It is therefore especially important that we know our rights, what to expect and how to navigate the system. This presentation will give a short introduction to the role labor unions play within the Norwegian workplace and how The Norwegian Civil Service Union (NTL) can help in this process. We will also discuss some key differences between the politics of different unions operating in Norwegian academic sector and how they impact temporary staff.
