Unio-state reached an agreement with the state on 24 May on a frame of 3,84 per cent for this year’s local negotiations. This was slightly above the frame of 3,7 per cent set that was set for the frontline professions.

Unio State also entered into a new main tariff agreement with the Akademikerne

Unio, Akademikerne and UiO signed a protocol from the local salary negotiations on Monday 31 October 2022 in accordance with The Basic Collective Agreement (BCA), section 2.5.1.

Forskerforbundet at UiO negotiated on behalf of more than 2,250 Unio members at UiO.

At UiO, Unio together with the Akademikerne and the employer, have completed the negotiations on the local pot, which this year was approx. NOK 86.2 million.

The parties agree that employees at UiO at the time of negotiations, which are covered by local negotiations according to section 2.5.1 of The BCA gets a general increase of 1.8% with effect from 1 May 2022.

The parties have also negotiated individual increases for many of Unio's members.

The result in kroner and percentage

It was important for us to secure a good settlement for our groups with high education. This year, we therefore encouraged all our members to put forward claims for the yearly local negotiations.

It is also important to continue the work to catch up the lagging pay gain in our sector. We informed our members that Unio would work to ensure that at least half of the pot went to a general increase for everyone.

This general increase given locally, would then replace the previous increase given centrally as of 1 May.

It is important for Forskerforbundet/NAR to convey that our salary policy is the same as before.

In total, Unio received approx. NOK 40.6 million of the pot, of which the general increase constitute NOK 26.6 million. Unio's share of the total pot amounts to approx. 47 %. The academics received approx. 31 % of the pot.

The result shows that Unio continues to do well in the local negotiations and that it pays to be unionised.

In Norwegian working life, the degree of organization is high, and we believe it is important to continue to stand together on good, collective agreements. Unio will continue to work to recruit members, and we also encourage employers to inform employees in both Norwegian and English about the tripartite collaboration and the Norwegian model.
