Langnes is interested in functional magnetic resonnans (fMRI) and how fMRI can be used to study memory. He is part og the Lifespan Changes in Brain and Cognition group (LCBC) lead by Prof. Anders M. Fjell and Prof. Kristine B. Walhovd. He is also engaged in a project exploring how episodic memory unfold in the brain, using ERC.
